All Votes Count – Be Sure to Make Your Voice Heard
by Lisa Crockett
Voting in an election is always an important way of voicing an opinion. In a local election, where the total number of voters is much smaller than a state or national election, voters have even more power to effect change.
Castle Pines North (CPN) will soon be making important decisions about its future – will you be able to take part? In order to vote in the election to decide whether or not CPN will become a city, voters must be registered in Douglas County.
Registering to vote is easy. Simply visit www.douglas.co.us, and click on “citizenship and voting” under the “Living” tab. Then, click on “Voter Information” for necessary forms and information regarding registrations procedures.
Voting information can also be obtained by calling 303-660-7444. Voters must be registered at least 29 days prior to an election. Residents who wish to verify election eligibility and status can go to the above website and click on “Am I Registered?” under the “Online Services” section
