Advisory council seeks volunteers
Information provided by Douglas County
The Douglas County CSU Extension Advisory Council is accepting applications for all positions to fill its board.
The mission of the advisory council is to provide information and education in addition to encouraging the application of research-based knowledge in response to local, state, and national issues. Council members serve as a review body to counsel, advise and deliberate with CSU Extension staff regarding program efforts.
The Council is interested in hearing from candidates beyond those historically represented on the committee – ranchers, farmers, homemakers and 4-H leaders – and encourages applicants with outside interests that may bring a balance of thinking and stretch program considerations.
The successful applicant must be able to meet quarterly on the third Thursday of January, April, July and October. Council members are appointed by the Board of Douglas County Commissioners to a three-year term with a limit of two terms.
Applications will be accepted online through March 5. For additional information, please visit https://www.douglas.co.us/government/commissioners/citizen-advisory-boards-committees-and-commissions/csu-extension-advisory-council/ or contact the Douglas County Commissioners Office at 303-660-7401.
