A Winter Wonderland in Castle Pines

The inaugural Castle Pines Winter Wonderland was a huge success with hundreds of residents enjoying the multitude of holiday-inspired events brought to the community by the City of Castle Pines and the Castle Pines Chamber of Commerce.

The holiday extravaganza kicked off with the lighting of the first tree of Castle Pines.

“We have always wanted to have a city tree lighting event,” said Jolene Richardson, event coordinator for the City of Castle Pines. “It really helps to define our sense of community – bringing our residents together,” she continued.

The Ridge at Castle Pines provided the tree and the venue for not only the tree lighting, holiday carriage rides, trail of lights (see next page), Castle Pines’ own Whoville for a movie night with the Grinch, but also the Holly Jolly Brunch with Santa – now in its 14th year.

The success and goodwill that radiated throughout the three weeks of Castle Pines’ Winter Wonderland (albeit without snow) has event organizers planning for next year and the possibilities of additional activities to celebrate with the residents.
