The Rock Canyon High School Fire Science program participated once again in the 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb at Red Rocks Amphitheatre on September 11. The event served as an inspirational opportunity for the class to learn about the culture of the fire and emergency services and to most importantly honor the 9/11 first responders. Each year, the students are taught a lesson that focuses on the first responders’ side of 9/11 in order to help them understand and learn the sacrifices that are made on a daily basis when duty calls.
