The Castle Pines North Master Association Annual Community Garage Sale is quickly approaching, so it’s time to start your spring cleaning!

The Sale will be held between the hours of 8 a.m. and 2 p.m., on both Friday, May 21 and Saturday, May 22.

Traditionally, the Sale draws bargain hunters from near and far, and residents have commented that they’ve had huge success selling unwanted items – – as well as picking up a few “treasures” from others in the neighborhood.

The CPN Master Association plans and organizes the CPN Master Association Annual Garage Sale. This is funded by your Master Association dues.

Publicity

The Master Association will post advertisements in the local Denver newspapers as well as in the Douglas County papers. Shoppers will be able to click here to obtain a list of participating addresses.

Signs

The Master Association will post Community Garage Sale signs on Castle Pines Parkway and Monarch Blvd. two weeks prior to the sale. Participating households will be responsible for posting their own arrow signs, and removing them no later than Sunday, May 23.

Arrow signs and helium balloons will be free for all garage sale participants. They may be picked up at the Prudential Preferred Real Estate office in the BankWest/Prudential Building on May 19, May 20, and the morning of May 21.

List your home as a participant

Households must be current on their CPN Master Association dues to be eligible to participate.

Unsold items? Don’t want to host a sale at your home?

Unsold garage sale items may be donated to a charitable-benefit garage sale to be held on Sunday, May 23. Click here for details on this sale, which is sponsored by Prudential Preferred Real Estate.

What if you want to host an individual garage sale at another date? You can host a sale at your home, however CPN covenants prohibit posting of garage-sale signs along CPN’s roads for these individual sales. You may arrange your own advertising in local publications, and you may submit a free listing on the CPN web-site classifieds. Click here for more about individual garage sales in CPN.

Safety during the garage sale

The Douglas County Sheriff’s office will have extra patrol cars in the community (both day and night) the day before the garage sale and during the two days of the sale. The Sheriff would also like to remind you to keep your house safe. While you and your family are outside with your garage sale belongings and customers:

Make sure your doors and ground-level windows are closed and locked.

Make sure your garage is closed, unless you are using it for your sale.

Do not keep too much cash outside.

Keep money on your person instead of in a “cash box” that may sit momentarily unattended.

For more information about the garage sale, call Carla Kenny at 303-663-9326.
