Concrete paving will begin tonight, April 14, along northbound I-25, north of Castle Pines Parkway (Exit 188).  A right lane closure of I-25 for the paving operations will begin at 8:30 p.m. and will be completed no later than 5:30 a.m., according to project engineer Michael Stanford.  The paving operation is expected to take several weeks, weather permitting.  Right shoulder closures will also be in place in both directions for earthwork, but minimal delays are expected.

Once northbound I-25 has been paved up to the former Surry Ridge Exit (Exit 191), the contractor will begin paving southbound I-25, beginning at Exit 191 and ending at Castle Pines Parkway (Exit 188).  The southbound paving is also expected to take several weeks.

The I-25 southbound off ramp at Castle Pines Parkway (Exit 188) will be closed beginning at 11 p.m. sometime next week for approximately four hours while the contractor relocates the cantilever sign at the exit.  A detour will be posted at that time directing traffic to Happy Canyon Road (Exit 187), and then back northbound onto I-25 to Castle Pines Parkway (Exit 188).  Although the CDOT website indicates this operation will happen Thursday evening,  Stanford indicated there was no specific date for this operation confirmed at this time.

As always in Colorado, all planned work is subject to change, depending on the weather.  Contact Marc Bliven with Lawrence Construction at 303-663-1316 with questions.  For additional road closure information, go to www.dot.state.co.us.
